TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR NEWSDAY DOCUMENTARY SCREENING MONDAY JANUARY 27

NYC NEWS ICON ARTHUR BROWNE: “THE MOST REVEALING, SOCIALLY RELEVANT PROJECT OF MY CAREER.”

Seats are still available for Monday night’s screening and panel discussion of Testing the Divide, the companion documentary to Newsday’s Long Island Divided, the most exhaustive report on housing discrimination ever undertaken by a media outlet. The event is hosted by the Fair Housing Justice Center, which acted as a consultant on the project.

The screening will be followed by discussion and Q&A session featuring panelists who are prominently featured in the film, including Project Editor and legendary NYC news figure Arthur Browne, Long Island Deputy Editor and Investigative Reporter Keith Herbert, Undercover Tester Lenora Smith, and FHJC Executive Director Fred Freiberg. Rutgers Law Professor and civil rights expert Elise Boddie will be the host and moderator.

The event will be held at Lang Recital Hall at Hunter College, located in Manhattan at 695 Park Ave, near East 69th Street. Tickets are free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Click HERE to reserve your seat, or visit http://bit.ly/TTDScreening.

The mission of the FHJC, a nonprofit civil rights organization, is to eliminate housing discrimination; promote policies and programs that foster open, accessible, and inclusive communities; and strengthen enforcement of fair housing laws in the New York City region.
